Hey everyone I'm so excited to finally have a blog of my own. I've been reading blogs for what seems like forever and always wanted to start my own but never knew exactly what to write on. Then while day dreaming in one of my classes, it hit me...why not write about what I love, traveling, volunteering and finding adventure. But first things first, here are the basics about me...I got bit by the travel bug at a young age, and by young I mean 5 years old. I went to London for the first time with my mom and I still remember EVERYTHING about our trip. Since then I have been to The United Kingdom, Paris, France 3 times, Greece, China, Spain, the Caribbean Islands and backpacked through Italy, Switzerland and Germany.
I have always been interested in volunteering, growing up my mom was always working on some event or fundraising for something. But I can pinpoint the exact moment I fell in love with service work- Summer 2009 when I volunteered with 19 other FSU students for two weeks in Spain at an HIV/AIDS living facility called Basida. (http://www.basida.org/Default2.htm) I left the trip with a love for helping others and gained some of my closest friends through it.
Through this blog I hope to inspire some of you to incorporate service into your life, explore the world and dive into the unknown. I also hope to create relationships with other backpackers and learn about new destinations I have yet to explore
